I know all you teachers know exactly what I am talking about... |
*SIGH*
I have to start thinking about it and preparing for it, so I try not to fight it, even though the meme is true.
One Sunday night after another.
I compensate for this feeling by protecting some calm alone time, as well as cram in a few last minute adventures with Hubster.
But I also try to prep in small amounts, since I am not a last minute kind of person. I like a little time to prepare. So I took that approach to tweaking my Project 333 wardrobe for going back to work.
I have been working on a fall color palatte and plans for a fall wardrobe, because I LOVE fall and cannot wait to dive into wearing tall boots, warm sweaters, and thick scarves.
However, I can't start wearing my fall wardrobe until the weather changes, and so I need clothes for the lingering warm weather of August that are work appropriate. My jean capris and shorts won't cut it for work.
So I headed to Pinterest to get some ideas. As I searched, I found a great idea: a 10 piece work wardrobe.

Ten Piece Wardrobe Challenge, as I found it on Pinterest |
I loved this idea, and as I started to think about the clothing I had packed away from my original closet clean-out in June, I began to realize that I could totally accomplish this for an end of summer work wardrobe.
From the big orange tubs, I pulled and tried on and texted photos to Ayme until I found pieces that would all work together for mixing and matching.
So, here's my Ten Piece Wardrobe Challenge:
Now, you will notice that I have 10 basic pieces of clothing, and then shoes and some accessories on top of that. A few of these pieces are already part of my Summer P333 wardrobe, and some that I will be adding. I have a feeling that I may end up with a few more pieces than 33 for the end of the summer, but that's okay. The whole point is to make this whole business work for me.
The pieces pictured are all articles of clothing that I already owned, and they are all pieces that I like and feel comfortable wearing, which is a key element in the P333 project. If it doesn't fit, if I don't feel comfortable in it, or it just feels funny, it has to go!
Also, I have a black dress that I didn't include on my graphic, but I plan to make use of it as well, since it's easy to wear and it dresses up or dresses down really easily.
To get a clear picture of how I plan to make this wardrobe work for me, I used Polyvore to cook up some easy and comfortable combinations:

And my Black Dress Set below will be a fabulous option for things like Parent-Teacher Conferences, Church, or anything else I might need a little more flair for.
So, I am now ready to head back to school...at least as far as clothing goes!!!
As I mentioned earlier, I am planning eagerly for my fall P333, but I love this plan in the meantime.
Anyone else have fabulous P333 plans to share?
