Essential Oils
When my mom first busted out her Essential Oils on a hot summer morning in 2014, I was totally skeptical. She started explaining to me why they were so great and I just looked at her and said, "Mom, you drank the koolaid!" There was no way that these oils could work. She was telling me about this oil called Valor and how she dabbed it on my dad's big toe before he went to bed and wham! He had stopped snoring.
Are you kidding me?!?!?!
But the next morning, I had a zit coming in on my chin--the painful kind that are under the skin and erupt like Mount Vesuvius when they finally make it topside.
"Oh, here," said Mom, handing me a little bottle with a purple label. "Put some Lavender oil on it right now, and again in a little bit. Then some more before you go to bed."
I took the bottle, looked at it with distrust, and trundled off to the bathroom to follow my mom's instructions. What the heck. It couldn't hurt.
The smell bugged me those first hours. But I reapplied a few times that day and then again before bed.
When I woke up, the zit was practically gone.
I was totally blown away. I reapplied that night and by the second morning, totally cleared up.
Okay, I thought, maybe this oil thing isn't so crazy.
But what really got me was this: I walked into the guest room a night or two later, while my mom was getting ready for bed. My dad was sound asleep on the bed. On his back. And he wasn't making a sound.
My jaw hit the floor.
Mom just smiled a little and said, "I know. It's the oil. Crazy right? The big toe is a reflexology point and it works."
I was a believer.
For a year now, I have been a believer of Essential Oils. They have helped me sleep better, cleared up skin trouble, taken care of allergies, alleviated headaches, and given me relief from sinus pressure. They've helped me avoid sickness, soothe a sore throat, and calm my hormones.
They can help you too, if you feel so inclined.
If you're interested in getting signed up to order oils, click here, which will take you to the membership sign-up page for Young Living.
You can absolutely sign up to buy oils retail, which is a solid option if you don't want to mess with the initial investment of a starter kit. Becoming a Wholesale Member is an awesome investment, however, because you get great discounts on oils, and you have a chance to earn Essential Rewards. If you have any questions at all, you can email me at jillgrace23@gmail.com.
NOTE: I'm not a nurse. I am not a doctor. I don't know that much about medicine in the grand scheme of things. I've just read a lot of stuff, talked to a lot of people, and paid attention to my own experiences. The stuff I share about Essential Oils is from my own experience and research. Make sure you do your own research (from credible sources!) and consult with medical professionals when you are trying to diagnose or treat a condition. Essential Oils are great, but they aren't magic, and they don't cure stuff. They are an awesome addition to a holistic, healthy life and are meant to support your body's health and ability to heal itself.
